If Given The YPP Ticket, I Will Deliver A $1 Trillion Economy
The Nigerian economy has never been worse in our nation’s history. President Jonathan handed over a $574 billion economy to President Buhari. Under Buhari, it fell to $375 billion, and over the next eight years he worked to rebuild it. By the end of his tenure, Buhari had brought it back up to $474 billion, which he then handed over to President Tinubu.
Tinubu inherited that $474 billion economy and it declined to $199 billion. After three years, it stands at only $220 billion — and that is why Nigerians are experiencing so much economic pain. At the current 3.8% growth rate, even with four additional years, the economy would only rise to about $274 billion by 2031. Do the math! So with Tinubu, in 2031, which is 5 years time the GDP will be half of what Jonathan originally gave the APC sixteen years earlier. That is not acceptable. It will mean more years of severe hardship, and Nigerians cannot endure that trajectory.
The wealth of Nations starts by understanding the Global Financial System. Among all the YPP aspirants, I am the one with hands‑on global experience building the Global Financial System used across Western economies to grow their nations. I will apply that expertise on the platform of the YPP to grow Nigeria into a $1Trillion economy. I understand how modern economies are engineered — I helped build the tools they use to compete and grow.
